The reason for this is the SAD. If you look back over my characters' blogging history, you will find they drop off a bit in the winter, unless there's a specific storyline or theme I'm following. With the exception of Parker, and related to that, Senia, none of my characters have anything major going for them. Troy does, but given his personality and what he's going through, my mood and the mask I put on to hide it from people will work for him.
Basically, since all the characters are extensions of myself or certain parts of my personality, it's going to be tough. SAD makes me withdrawn and really cranky, and as I get older it makes me a little bitchier. When replying to comments/messages, since I have to put myself into that character and think about how I would respond, my response could easily be more biting than it would be under normal circumstances. I'll do what I can to keep up with anything that's going on, but if any Urban or Larcombe should say something that seems out of their character or even out of character for me, from what you know of me, it's because I'm not in character. I'm apologizing a million times in advance. I try to keep good RP's with people who can keep IC and OOC separate, but I know sometimes there's a "whoa" moment where things go south.
I swear more than usual, I have zero filter, and I have no patience for anything. This is usually when Nate thrives, actually. Senia is basically me as a whole, a little bit less maternal, but in general, that's me. Natalia is really Senia Jr, and probably a closer example of me. Chelsea and Troy are both incarnations my commitmentphobia, even though Chelsea's had to suck it up and deal. I hope when I finally am in a long-term relationship, I handle it better than she does. Troy just pushes significant others away (I definitely have a 4 month getaway dance. Only met one guy so far who's blocked the exit, but when his commitment to the USMC he really can't fully block that door but I also don't feel the imagined smothering. So it works.
Let's see... Nate, as I mentioned, is the hardest, most raw part of my personality. Parker is everything I wish my high school boyfriend was, and the example that I held all boys to, explaining why I wasn't one of those girls with a new boyfriend every month. Madalynne is pretty close to me at fifteen. Olivia, Logan, and Amelia don't have a personality just yet. Olivia might end up being my sarcastic self, largely because I end up filling in my characters' personalities based on their face claims, and I chose Selena Gomez for her after a Wizards of Waverly Place Marathon (my nephew loves it, even though I'm sure he has no idea what's happening because he's just shy of 5, and it's nice that I like it too, so I'm not bored when we watch it together. Same with Good Luck Charlie - more face claims there). So she'll just be Alex Russo, and Logan will be Max.
Senia and Natalia are the only two that aren't influenced so much by Rosario Dawson's or Jessica Szohr's work, mostly because they each are based on larger aspects of my personality. I don't have a whole lot of blanks to fill in. Chelsea was a lot crabbier when I watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Troy is a little bit of Chace Crawford in Twelve and What to Expect When You're Expecting. I try very hard not to let Gossip Girl influence me, mostly because then I get confused, with his character being named Nate, and then the whole Nate and Vanessa relationship. Especially because that was always my favorite Nate couple.
For Parker, I haven't relied too much on Logan Lerman's work, but I have tried to focus on interviews. For Madalynne, there's a lot of Zendaya's character on Shake It Up, but I got a bit of her out of interviews too. My bestie (the McLoughlins) and I decided a long time ago that Madalynne and her Avery would be besties and form a band together, so we opted to used Zendaya and Bella Thorne so that we'd have an endless supply of pictures to choose from. My photoshop skills are limited, and the all the group photos I've done for Angels of Hellfire were exhausting. You'll notice there aren't as many for Hellfire & Damnation.
That reminds me... we could always use a 3rd band member, someone around their age, who'd like to use any other actor from Shake It Up as a face claim. A girl would be better, there are really cute pics with Caroline Sunshine, but a boy will do too. Yes, we're demanding, but, hey. Pics will be so adorable. Seriously, google it.
Okay I'm babbling again. I'm off to popoworld to get caught up. I know it's been a couple days already. This is probably what's in store. Either minimal activity every day, or regular activity every few days.
