I'm 100% beyond overwhelmed with work stuff right now.
I'm at the tail end of pre-k registration, but everyone just got their placement notices yesterday so now I'm bombarded with phone calls with questions and complaints, so that needs to be tackled.
In the meantime, it's state testing time, so I'm knee-deep in processing (waist deep by Monday, neck deep on Tuesday and Wednesday, then a brief reprieve on Thursday, then back to knees and waist in one fell swoop on Friday, neck on Monday and Tuesday, followed by some drowning on Wednesday.
Let's also not forget about that recognition dinner, which I really can't truly focus on until April 25th, once testing and pre-k acceptancs are both over. I've got teachers trying to put kids on the nomination list that don't really need to be... they want me to include student of the month for various subjects going all the way back to September. Hello. The recognition dinner is for students who don't get acknowledged for their achievements in any other venue. If you're on the student of the month wall, then you were recognized already.
So that's going to be interesting.
And on top of that, they got new tables in the cafeteria. Long ones that can only fit 12 people comfortably, maybe 14 if people squeeze. They're bench seating, like picnic tables. And they take up as much room as at least 2 of the round tables, which fit 9 people each. So now I'm losing space. Not to mention, with actual chairs, I have some control over space and seating. With these bench seats, for all I know, people won't fill the benches, so I might have tables with only 10 people and then end up having to ask people to squeeze in.
On top of that... picnic tables though? So these kids have to literally climb out of their seats?
Also - I JUST BOUGHT 40 ROUND TABLECLOTHS FOR THIS DINNER! Now they are useless.
So basically, my half-ass popmundoing, which was only down to stuff for the school and stuff for Maddi's tour, has been incredibly overshadowed by my part of coordinating real school stuff.
Irony or coincidence?
Anyway, thank you to everyone else who's pitching in on the school stuff. It's not like I was ever going to be able to do EVERYthing by myself anyway, so I'm glad Senia has a good team of people around her.
