I do find myself misspeaking more than usual, flip-flopping my words or really really really struggling to find the right word for something, almost like a mild aphasia. It's very frustrating. Unsure if that's covid related or from stress, because I'm also dealing with that, paired with a little bit of burnout.
The thing that kept me going this whole time was the fact that my life didn't change much in these past couple years. Yeah, we worked from home for a few months, which was honestly wonderful, and we do a lot less in person now, but for the most part, nothing has really changed for me. I haven't had to deal with readjusting my life.
But the past couple months now, nothing has been routine AT work. There's no precedent for anything that we're working on, and the things that are usually routine are being done differently this year. On top of that, as a team, we're all buried with our own projects and haven't really done things as a team in a while. Haven't even had a real team meeting in weeks.
That being said, all of this has gone a long way in explaining why my Popmundo activity continues to struggle and might be even worse lately. When Boyfriend and I are doing the "video game down time" thing, I usually resort to Sims 4 - especially because I've started doing separate challenges and playing the new Scenario function. Mixing things up. And as anyone who's ever played the Sims understands that you get in a full additive spiral, so if I have both my sims laptop and my regular laptop out, and I'll always go for the sims one first. But! I still apply my writing to that, so you should go check out my challenge/scenario updates there.
