Not only did this investor not do so, they didn't even acknowledge the request or respond.
When Natalia's kids were born, I tried again. Richard came back, I tried again. K sent a message as Taryn - still nothing.
It got to the point I recreated the company just to get away.
But going back, about a year ago this investor started to go inactive. FOUR DAYS before I estimated their death... Logged in. Active for a week, then gone. I started counting down again. Active after a month, then gone. It was during the times of activity that I was sending messages. As I said, I eventually gave up, abandoned everyone's shares (except Senia) and moved on. Occasionally I would.check on the investor, but they seemed to be back for good. I wasn't letting the company go, though.
It's been a few months now since I bothered checking, but the other day I was going through family trees (the popmundo equivalent of getting lost in YouTube. You know, when you're watching a video of someone pulling a caterpillar out of their ear and you're like, how did I get here, I was just watching old Nsync videos?) and I made the discovery.
I'm pretty sure it started when I was looking at one of Madalynne's friends. I was looking at his family tree, noticed a sibling with a name I recognized. Went to them, recognized the other parent's name. Followed that to their family, and so on and so on...and then there it was: A dead spouse. With a very specific, unique name.
There was no way there was another character with that name, for a number of reasons:
1. No one else would come up with such a stupid name.
2. I can pretty much guarantee that they bought name protection.
So, just to be sure I was right, I quickly went to the old company page, looked at the shareholders, and instead of three, there were just two: Senia and Taryn.
I legitimately cheered. I can finally have my old company back, and distribute the thousands of shares, instead of the stupid 100 that you're limited to now. The downside is that I then need to spend a shit-ton of credits to give shareholder trader licenses to the family members. The old company license finally expired a few months ago. But, I'll need more sales at my CafePress store to do that. All my royalties there get deposited to my PayPal account every three months, and I try to only spend that money on Popmundo. My pocket change, if you will. My best-selling item at the store is my Daryl Dixon stuff, and I really need the second half of the Walking Dead to start so that sales pick up again. I've been trying to come up with designs for other characters too, but I can only think of ones for Rick and Carl so far. Can't think of anything for Glenn.
Anyway, I got extremely bored at work today, but because I couldn't focus enough to reply to messages, I decided to add up all the family finances. I mean all of it, the entire family, the company assets, and each one's share of band assets.
I'm a dork.
